My long-term experience with Hefferon Heating & Cooling has been consistently disappointing. During a recent appointment, the technician damaged my mini‑split system. Despite reaching out to schedule a repair, even at my own expense, the company did not respond. I ultimately hired another vendor to resolve the issue. Based on these experiences, I cannot recommend their services.

Had two new Trane central ac replacement systems installed. The process was professional and competent. Everything done as promised. Staff was courteous and industrious. I did the max you could ask out of an AC firm and they delivered. Would recommend.

Dear Hefferon heating,
My A.C. install is complete. It’s a couple of hours in. I couldn’t be happier and more comfortable. Admittedly the weather isn’t terribly hot as season is ending. I spoke to Dina at the office and she was very supportive. I was very upset because my former service provider had cancelled multiple times, and even though Dina said you had finished your seasonal service she got me in for an appointment within 48 hours from my call. Chris was our technician and was extremely polite, knowledgeable, and fixed a couple of issues to prevent later problems. I would recommend Chris again and plan on using Hefferon for all my HVAC annual service and issues beyond in the future. Thank you so much!

Hefferon has been so wonderful to work with. From Dina in the office to the technician they sent out, everyone has been great. Other companies in the area are very pushy and extremely overpriced but not Hefferon. I couldn’t recommend them more.

Our ac decided to stop working on the 4th of July. After calling multiple companies Hefferon was the only one who got back to us and was kind enough to come out to take a look (especially being on a holiday). Freddie was amazing! He was honest, professional, and kind! He got our unit back up and running within a half hour and his service was extremely reasonably priced. Hefferon installed a new central A/C system along with new duct work. The work was done in a timely manner with professional technician who were courteous and very competent. The job area was cleaned after the day’s work. They spent a lot of time explaining how to operate the new system after it was installed. From the initial contact to discuss our job with Andrew to the job’s completion, we have been very satisfied. We highly recommend Hefferon for anyone looking to install or upgrade an A/C system.

The entire staff at Hefferon Heating and Cooling is courteous and professional. The installation crew was knowledgeable.

The technicians were extremely professional and courteous, and resolved my issue quickly. Pricing was also very fair, even without a service contract in place when I called. Decided to go with Hefferon H&C in connection with decision to buy new NG furnace/HVAC (some parts failure, age of units) and could not be more pleased. Owner/founder Ernie is a personable, very experienced vet in this space, explained the options and issues. His team led by crackerjack Evan did the install of both units same day in the middle of January! Efficient, clean, pleasant... done. Warm and cozy, now worry free. Can't recommend more highly.

I contracted Hefferon Heating and Cooling in Danbury CT to install a full HVAC system with heat pump several months ago. They worked with me on scheduling the install (which had to be postponed several times on my end) . Once the schedule worked out the technicians showed up on time and did an absolutely amazing job installing the system. They kept everything exceptionally clean from day to day and, set the system up in a very neat and organized manner leaving me lots of storage space in the attic despite all the duct work. The lead tech (Lee) did a great job of explaining every step. After the install Christina (the office manager) took care of all the rebate paperwork. All in all I am very happy with the results.

Heffron Heating and Cooling is the most professional and reliable HVAC company in the Danbury area, likely the entire State. In dealings with Heffron, you know you’re getting honest answers/advice so there’s no need to worry about being taken advantage of in a situation you have limited knowledge. They also provide fair pricing, you usually know the cost before the service begins. I wouldn’t consider any other company for my Heating and AC needs. Thank you Heffrons!

Hefferon to the rescue! We’re not customer but they just gained us and don’t know it yet for their service plan next year.

Our AC suddenly stopped working, of course right before the hottest week of the year to-date. Our service providers didn’t have availability until Monday and with three large dogs panting, we couldn’t wait.

I called multiple Danbury HVAC companies yesterday and Evan from Heffron was the only one to call me back. He mentioned he could be there tomorrow morning (today!), and he sure was.
He was very efficient and friendly! Top notch service and my dogs are I are forever grateful.

Dealing with Hefferon was a real pleasure. From Ernie Hefferon to the office staff and the installers, everyone was unfailingly pleasant and answered every question I had.

My first meeting with Ernie took a full hour+; he reviewed the existing conditions in my house and gave me different alternatives. The other company I contacted did a 10 minute look at my house and quickly came up with a quick and dirty proposal. Ernie's thoughtful approach gave me confidence that I would be getting quality work, tailored to my needs.

My system was just installed, so I don't know how it will work. I do, however, have confidence that Hefferon will be there if I need them.

Hefferon responded within hours to our emergency voice mail on Sunday. An appointment was scheduled for Tuesday. The technician arrived on time. After reviewing the particulars he determined the cause and repaired the system. Good to go within two hours. This was our first experience with Hefferon. They were highly recommended and we'll do the same!

we moved to a 1800s farmhouse house and called Andrew and Ernie to help update our HVAC. Our experience continued to be fantastic - thoughtful, kind, and patient - great to work with to understand our options, schedule the work, and feel safe while everything was installed during the initial months of COVID-19. Here we put in all new HVAC, moving from oil and natural gas and adding in central air. Now a few months in, and even with a super low oil price compare, we are saving around $200/month because we have a more efficient system that distributes the heat more effectively. This saving includes the cost of financing some of the equipment installation, but does not appropriately adjust for the value of keeping two young kids comfortable inside and sleeping through the night. 🙂 We continue to recommend and appreciate working with Hefferon Heating & Cooling!

Any time people ask who installed our central A/C, we light up - Ernie and his team from Hefferon are skilled, thoughtful, friendly technicians who take the time to understand your home and artfully fit in the beast of a system into our home. We were treated with respect and were taught to understand our air conditioning - what the estimate entails, how the installation would go, what it's doing, how to operate and care for it. We never once thought we were just another job, and felt cared for, so that we feel confident about our investment. We have an old 1930's house with tiny closets - yet we barely lost space thanks to Andrew and the crew. I believe we gained comfort in our home, and feel like we can love it thanks to them! Ernie and his team delivered high quality service. I had them replace an old furnace in addition to adding a 3-ton AC unit to the home. They were on-time and did a terrific job.

I had asked 3 HVAC guys to provide bids. Hefferon was not the least or most expensive but they were very thorough in the detail in their proposal and I was able to speak to Ernie, the owner, and felt confident in the high touch service they deliver. Give them 2 thumbs up.

Excellent experience with Hefferon. Like many others, my AC was badly effected by the most recent storm. It was a Sunday morning when it just stopped working. My friends had highly recommended Hefferon. Someone came later that morning to repair/assess the problem. I believe his name was Andrew, who was extremely efficient and professional. I needed a new motor blower which had to be ordered. The part came in a timely fashion and Mark came Friday afternoon. He too was very professional and informative of exactly what he was doing to repair the unit. All for a very fair price! They were very accommodating to my schedule, which conflicted with their normal business hours. I was very impressed with my overall experience with everyone at Hefferon. Needless to say, I too highly recommend this business for all your HVAC needs! Thank you!
